The Hughston Explorer Post is a career-based program for students in the ninth through twelfth grades and is an affiliate of the Boy Scouts of America, Chattahoochee Council. Although career emphasis is a major aspect of the program, there are many other important features, such as helping young adults develop leadership skills and team building, public speaking, interviewing, and time management skills.
Our Explorer Post is for high school students who are interested in the fields of health care, orthopedics, or sports medicine. Participants explore careers ranging from orthopedic physician to an athletic trainer or physical therapist, and activities revolve around practical, hands-on experience. The Hughston Explorer Post meets monthly at the Foundation from August until May. For more information about the program contact Boy Scouts of America.
