The Hughston Foundation houses a complete medical illustration and photography department. The staff consists of one full-time medical illustrator, who is a graduate of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas medical illustration masters program. The production of medical illustration, photography, and graphic art is done in response to requests of the physicians and allied health-care professionals associated with The Hughston Clinic and the Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital. Specific training provides the knowledge and skill sets to create anatomically accurate and visually stimulating artwork. The medical illustration and photography department is also available to provide graphic and illustrative support to physicians and health-care workers in the surrounding areas.
