Founded in 1968, The Hughston Foundation is a non-profit research and educational organization located on a privately supported medical campus in Columbus, Georgia. The campus also includes an orthopaedic clinic, an orthopaedic hospital, a rehabilitation center, and physical fitness facilities that provide clinical and technical resources for the Foundation.

The Hughston Foundation is the vehicle for Hughston’s vision. Its mission is “to help people in all walks of life attain the highest possible levels of musculoskeletal health, fitness, and athletic prowess by providing national and international leadership in orthopaedic and sports medicine research, education, and communication.”

A Board of Directors along with the Executive Director governs and provides direction for the Foundation. Donations help support the work of the Foundation’s education, research, and communication divisions.
